Before You Arrive
Visa guidance, credential evaluation support, teaching certification assistance, pre-departure training, and cultural orientation prepare you for success.
First 30 Days in America
Arrival coordination, housing assistance, banking setup, Social Security processing, school orientation, and community integration support ease your transition.
Our emergency support line is available for urgent situations including medical emergencies, housing crises, school conflicts, legal concerns, or any urgent matter requiring immediate assistance. For non-urgent questions, contact your program coordinator during business hours.
Is professional development required?
TPG provides free ongoing professional development opportunities throughout your program. While attendance at orientation sessions is required, additional training workshops are optional but highly encouraged to support your growth as an educator.
How does TPG help with J-2 dependent support?
We provide J-2 visa sponsorship for your spouse and children under 21 at no cost. We also offer guidance on work authorization for spouses, school enrollment for children, health insurance requirements, and resources for family adjustment.
What happens if I have issues with my school placement?
Your TPG program coordinator maintains regular communication with both you and your school district. If concerns arise, we facilitate dialogue, provide mediation support, and work collaboratively to resolve issues while ensuring program compliance.
Do you help with visa extensions?
Yes! In your third year, if both you and your school district wish to continue, TPG supports the extension application process for an additional two years. We guide you through all documentation, fees, and Department of State requirements.
What support is available after my program ends?
TPG assists with program completion documentation, departure planning, and transition support. We maintain an alumni network to help you stay connected with colleagues worldwide and share your American teaching experience back home.
